Last year I brought this newsletter to life and named it “The Good Mood Board” - more positive, less politicized content, lass harsh words - a more positive, reaffirming energy! An endorphin-therapy for you (and myself). But keeping the spirits up all the time is hard, nearly impossible - and we don’t have to. It’s totally fine to feel shit from time to time (even without any super obvious reasons). One always gets triggered somehow - the crucial part is, to accept this feeling, understand it, even embrace it, not drown in it, to talk to your friends and most importantly: remember that it will fade.
Lots of love,
Franzi xx

This mesmerizing biopic about Yves Saint Laurent, played by the late Gaspard Ulliel, portraits the peak of his career in the 60s and 70, his hedonistic, dark side, the alluring people he surrounded himself with and the trauma he had to fight. Watch “Saint Laurent” here.

THE GOOD MUSIC
Have you ever wondered how musicians come up with their songs? “Deconstructed”, a Youtube series launched in 2016, is dedicated to this exact questions and follows artists on the process of writing, composing, mixing the most popular songs of our time. This episode is dedicated to Labrinth & Zendaya’s “All for Us”, which accompanied the last episode of season one of “Euphoria”.
THE GOOD MEMORY
This is - hands down - the music that shaped my taste in music the most! Provoking rhymes, fun lyrics, great beats - I did not understand all the many, many references to iconic jazz/reggae/soul/funk/US hip hop songs and sounds by then - but really learned to appreciate them when broadening my own musical taste. I was happy to witness the band Freundeskreis live in concerts twice, once in 2007 and the second time only a couple of years ago (both times in the best company)! The band’s first studio album “Quadratur des Kreises” turned 25 yesterday - Happy Birthday!
