I’m working laaaate, 'cause I’m a Substack writerrrrr… and I’ve been neglecting my OG newsletter category, which I simply named “EDIT,” a bit lately. This edit has been sleeping in my drafts for a while, and I’m happy to send it out into the world today, finally. It’s packed with inspiring topics - like a restaurant recommendation in Switzerland, beautiful furniture made in Berlin, a Danish brand I a-d-o-r-e, a current exhibition, fashion, interior, and more. So here we go! And welcome onboard to the many new readers who joined lately <3
Lots of love,
Franzi
THE GOOD RESTAURANT
Hotel Kulm, a legendary gem in St. Moritz, recently teamed up with the wonderfully creative Luke Edward Hall, and the results are pure magic. His signature blend of bold colours and edgy design breathes new life into the hotel’s classic elegance, adding a fresh yet timeless feel. The reimagined interiors and bespoke art pieces, with a playful twist, make the whole place feel effortlessly chic. You can find the collaboration at Amaru, the hotel's Peruvian restaurant run by Claudia Canessa. Even if you're not staying at the hotel, you can still make a reservation as a non-hotel guest and experience the perfect mix of old-world charm and modern flair. The restaurant is currently closed and will reopen on December 5th, 2024, just in time for the Christmas season.

THE GOOD BRAND
Skall is one of those brands that just feels special from the moment you come across it. Founded by two Danish sisters, Marie and Julie, it perfectly embodies that effortless Scandinavian style - think natural fabrics, muted tones, and a kind of quiet elegance that makes each piece feel timeless. There’s a real sense of thoughtfulness behind everything they create, from the organic materials to the beautifully simple designs. It's a brand that doesn’t shout for attention, but rather whispers of quality and mindful living, which just feels refreshing in a world full of fast fashion. Check out their products here.
THE GOOD CRAFTSMANSHIP
KARST is a Berlin carpentry studio where modern design meets the warmth of fine craftsmanship. Founded in 2018 by Ricarda Sophie Lorenz and master carpenter Julien Budnik, it’s a true partnership where a creative eye and hands-on expertise come together to shape spaces and furniture that feel both timeless and fresh. With a deep love for natural materials, KARST’s work brings modern and mid-century inspirations to life through thoughtful details and beautiful finishes. Each piece tells its own story, reflecting the studio’s dedication to craft and individuality.
More than just makers, KARST thrives on close collaborations—working hand in hand with architects, designers, and clients to create unique spaces for homes, hotels, and boutiques. Check out their beautiful work on Instagram!
