FIVE CHIC THINGS
...that caught my eye in June 2026
Dear friends,
THE GOOD MOOD BOARD turns five this month. Happy birthday to me (should I get myself a little pressie?), more on this whole milestone another day. For now: five random things I found incredibly chic this June, plus a few honorable mentions below, because apparently five wasn’t enough after all.
Lots of love,
Franzi
ANIMAL PRINT FURNITURE
We’re moving soon, and I’m currently looking left, right, and center for anything that could upgrade the status quo. Animal print, in one single piece, is such an easy way to set an accent without committing to a whole new aesthetic – one stool that changes everything.
Here’s what I’ve been researching so far. Love the Socialite family chair.
SUMMER KNITS
Wearing a sweater in June sounds wrong until you’ve tried a lightweight knit over bare shoulders on a night underneath the stars (or outside a resto). Lisa Yang has some delicious summer knits that are somehow weightless, the kind of thing you’d wear over a silk slip.
I went into this at length in the summer 2026 capsule. Do yourself a favour and click through if your minimalist, chic wardrobe hasn’t been sorted yet.

VIDE POCHE
French for “empty pocket,” and also the most elegant solution to the problem of where your keys, coins, and everything loose from your pockets go. These little trays, leather, lacquer, sometimes absurdly expensive porcelain, exist purely to hold the stuff you’d otherwise dump on a counter. An old or new (Hermès, obviously) ashtray works just fine too. The vibe is: even your loose change deserves a moment.
JACKIE O, AGAIN
One of the things I found incredibly chic in June was Jackie O’s summer wardrobe. I wrote a whole article about it, and I’m still not over it. The headscarves, the oversized sunglasses, all the wonderful outfits. A woman dressed for a life that was, by all accounts, not simple, who made it look like the easiest thing in the world. Check it out here.
BLACK SILK SCRUNCHIES
The scrunchie’s redemption arc continues and I’m fully on board. It looks so put together, and the scrunchie itself is a highlight every outfit needs. I ordered a couple, didn’t really like any of them. Giving this one a shot, but happy for any recommendations!
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
Rihanna on the Cover of ee72 || This Celine Scarf || The Merit Flush Balm (colour “Fox”) || Everything Team Dr. Joseph does || Marvis Toothpaste || These Sylvia Toledano Earrings || Soft flats by Massimo Dutti (run, almost sold out)

I am so glad scrunchies are chic, I have one on now :)
Good scrunchies are really hard to find! I have mine from Nove but I guess Janina does not have any left.
