The resurrection of ’90s fashion makes me feel a certain way. Back then, I was manoeuvring my way through puberty, enthusiastically plucking my eyebrows, trying baby blue eyeshadow, and having my first encounters with fashion. At the same time, memorable looks were being created by movie stars and models — some brilliant, some so bad I never want to revisit them. Today, I want to focus on the good that the ’90s brought us (and less on the bad and ugly) and have handpicked 10 legendary looks from equally legendary women, recreating them for a touch of that timeless charm in 2024. Oh, Gwyneth… her ‘90s look (all of her looks from that era) is the epitome of understated elegance, wrapped in an oversized brown shearling coat (possibly Prada…?). Paired with dark trousers and heeled boots, her outfit combines comfort with sophistication. The choice of brown couldn’t be more 2024 – it’s so relevant and chic. Anyway, I love the look and would wear it in a heartbeat.
